Walk the Ancient Landscape with expert guide Carolyn
There is something special about Cornwall.
Out here, where the land meets the Atlantic and the horizon stretches wide and uninterrupted, the past feels close. Stone circles stand quietly on the moors. Ancient paths wind across the hills. And above it all, the same sky our ancestors once studied still unfolds each night.
If you have ever wondered how ancient people understood the stars, or how this landscape connects to the movements of the sun and moon, these guided walks offer a chance to step into that world.
Led by Carolyn, these tours are more than walks. They are journeys into a time when the sky shaped life, belief, and place.
You will explore hidden corners of West Penwith, visiting ancient stone circles, burial sites, and long forgotten settlements, while discovering how they align with celestial events and seasonal rhythms.
Each tour is relaxed, flexible, and tailored to suit your pace and ability, whether you are looking for a gentle wander or a deeper day of exploration.

Journeys You Can Take
The Tregeseal Walk
We begin on the open land of Truthwall Common, where the modern world quickly fades behind us.
As we follow ancient paths across the moor, the landscape begins to reveal its stories, subtle at first, then unmistakable. Stones placed with purpose. Earth shaped by human hands thousands of years ago.
Our destination is the Tregeseal stone circle, standing quietly against the skyline.
Here, with sweeping views across the Penwith peninsula, Carolyn will guide you through the deeper meaning of this place, how it connects to the movements of the heavens, and why it was built where it stands.
This is a walk that invites you to slow down, look closely, and see the land as it was once understood.
Duration 2 to 2.5 hours
Terrain rough off road paths
Footwear sturdy shoes essential
The Northern Moors and the Moon
There is a different feeling on the northern moors, wilder, more remote, shaped by wind and sky.
On this walk, you will visit two remarkable ancient sites, the Nine Maidens stone circle and the mysterious Men an Tol.
These places have drawn people for generations, and their purpose still sparks curiosity today.
As you move between them, Carolyn will share how these sites may be connected to the cycles of the moon, how ancient communities may have used them to track time, mark seasons, and make sense of the world above them.
It is a journey through myth, landscape, and sky.
Duration 2 to 3 hours
Terrain fully off road
Footwear sturdy shoes essential
A Full Day on Bodmin Moor
For those who want to go deeper, Bodmin Moor offers a landscape rich in history and atmosphere.
Here, the scale is bigger. The silence deeper. The sense of time more powerful.
Spend the day exploring some of Cornwall’s most important prehistoric sites, including The Hurlers stone circles, the rows and circles of Craddock Moor, and the striking landscape around Rough Tor.
As the day unfolds, you will begin to see how these places are connected, not just to each other, but to the sky above.
This is more than a tour. It is a chance to step into an ancient way of seeing the world.
