Solar Cans

Homemade pinhole cameras are lots of fun and a great way to track the sun’s annual path through the sky. Each sunny day the sun will shine through the pinhole and burn a line on the photographic paper inside the can. As the sun changes position through the year a pattern showing its path will form on the image.

I have been experimenting with homemade solar cans, following are some of my results:

Another week on top of Tregonning Hill
Lughnasadh to Equinox over Carn Galver
A week on top of Tregonnong Hill
Sunset over Lizard Point
Sunrise over the Lizard Lighthouse

A huge thanks to Olga Suchanova for running a workshop with Mayes Creative on how to make homemade versions of solar cans.
